I find footage
… and a whole lot more
Making a good documentary requires effective research. The best films use authentic visual documents, archival photographs and motion pictures to bring a cinematic immediacy to stories about the past. They show evidence. I am a detail-oriented photo and film researcher/treasure hunter, an independent film enthusiast, and a thoughtful producer with extensive experience with local and Texas histories, and criminal justice system stories. I enjoy working on historical documentaries, and films that rely on the historic record to conjure the past.
- Susanne Mason
"Susanne dug out from the LBJ library every photograph and document relevant to the Vietnam War and the Pentagon Papers story. She knew what to look for and where to look; retrieved, organized and got the items to us promptly; and paved the way for any licensing that was needed. She's a real pro and a rare find."
